'We're Not Like Western Predators': Putin Shocks Trump, European Leaders With Big Warning

Vladimir Putin has taken a swipe at the West, accusing Western powers of exploiting Africa while claiming Russian businesses are creating local jobs and boosting economic growth across the continent. Speaking at the Third Russia-Africa Summit in Moscow, Putin said Russian companies focus on local processing of raw materials, employment generation and investment in healthcare, education and environmental protection.

Putin contrasted Russia's approach with what he called the West's "predatory, neo-colonial exploitation" of Africa's natural and human resources. He also highlighted the continent's growing economic potential, noting that 12 of the world's 20 fastest-growing economies are in Africa.
