The region could be on the brink of another war. All signs, particularly the escalation between Saudi Arabia and the Houthis, point in that direction. Serious discussions are underway between Saudi Arabia and the United States over possible U.S. involvement in the war in Yemen, while efforts are being made to activate the Mecca defense pact between Riyadh, Ankara, and Islamabad. A war in Yemen could therefore be a prelude to a strike on Iran, which is preparing for all scenarios and appears ready to respond forcefully. According to information from diplomatic sources who spoke to us, Iran has warned its Gulf neighbors that it would strike vital infrastructure in their countries if it came under U.S. attack.
