Thieves pull off Italy's biggest-ever wine heist, stealing 30,000 bottles worth $5.8 million
Thieves stole around 30,000 bottles of Italy’s finest wines, worth €5 million ($5.8 million), from a historic winery in Tuscany in what the producer has described as the country’s largest wine heist on record. The gang targeted prized Solaia, Tignanello and Guado al Tasso wines from Marchesi Antinori, using two trucks to transport the bottles in a carefully planned overnight operation.
