NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said there is “no imminent threat” to NATO territory from Russia, while warning that the alliance would respond if Moscow builds up its forces. Speaking at the Euronews Defence & Space Summit in Brussels, Rutte also refused to disclose the contents of a reported Russian letter referencing nuclear weapons. Rutte dismissed the prospect of a nuclear threat against the Baltic states and said NATO is significantly stronger than Russia. He accused Moscow of using letters, hybrid tactics and grey-zone activities to divide NATO and shift attention away from Ukraine.
