Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has accused the United States and Israel of trying to divide Muslim countries and control the Middle East’s wealth. In an interview with Al Jazeera, Pezeshkian said Iran had been attacked from the airspace of other Muslim countries and claimed Washington and Israel had dragged regional states into the war expecting Iran’s government to collapse within days.
Pezeshkian also claimed that sanctions and military pressure had failed to break Iran, arguing that the country was experiencing “unprecedented unity and cohesion.” He said Tehran would focus on investing in its people and building greater self-reliance.
