Prime Minister Andy Burnham has held his first face-to-face meeting with US President Donald Trump on the sidelines of the United Nations summit in New York.

Both leaders stressed common ground on Middle East conflicts and the cost of living, while Trump voiced criticism of the lapsed deal to hand over the Chagos Islands to Mauritius.
