'Putin To Strike Anytime Now': NATO Nation 'SHAMES' Own Bloc, Questions Allies On Article 5
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk says Warsaw is strengthening its eastern border with Ukraine as Poland prepares for the possibility of further security incidents linked to the war. Tusk said new shelters, reinforced guard posts and increased military readiness are being put in place as Poland anticipates a growing concentration of threats near its border. Addressing parliament, Tusk warned that alleged “accidental” violations of NATO airspace could become a recurring tactic, particularly near border crossings. He said such incidents could be designed to create uncertainty and weaken the willingness of NATO members to invoke the alliance’s collective-defence provisions. Tusk also warned of a “real risk” that drones or missiles could enter the territory of one or more NATO countries on the eastern flank and potentially cause damage. His remarks come as Poland and other NATO members closely monitor security developments along the alliance’s eastern frontier amid the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.
