AUSTRALIA'S CHEAPEST NEW ELECTRIC SUV IS COMING!!
We flew to Spain for the global launch of the new Leapmotor B03X, the compact electric SUV that is set to undercut the BYD Atto 2, GWM Ora 5, Geely EX2, Jaecoo J5 EV, and GAC Aion UT when it lands here in Q4.
Indicative pricing is under $30,000 AUD drive away for the base Style trim, with the upper Design grade coming in around $33,000 AUD drive away. Australian cars get a 53kWh LFP battery with up to 382km of WLTP range, 133kW DC fast charging, a 145kW front electric motor, and some seriously clever practicality including a huge underfloor boot compartment and lift up rear seat storage.
This is also a big moment for Leapmotor. We called the C10 one of the worst cars we have ever reviewed, so Jacob takes the B03X through the twisties, tests the efficiency, digs into the software and the safety systems, and finds out whether the brand has finally turned things around.
