Kharkiv Battle Erupts: Russian Troops 'Surround' Ukrainian Forces In Shock Close Combat Clash

Russia claimed its forces had surrounded Ukrainian troops in the northeastern Kharkiv region, with Moscow saying around 1,700 Ukrainian personnel were trapped and attempts to break out had failed. Russian forces reportedly tightened the encirclement around several settlements while striking Ukrainian positions, logistics hubs and military equipment. Dramatic footage released by Russia showed Giatsint-B artillery guns firing on the battlefield, with crews loading shells and preparing the next rounds.
