'Punishment Begins': Iran Strikes Two US Bases In Jordan; IRGC Claims Fighter Jet Sites Destroyed

The Middle East stands on the brink of another dangerous escalation as Iran and the United States exchange direct military strikes. After U.S. forces targeted Iranian missile launchers on Larak Island, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) launched ballistic missiles at two U.S. military bases in Jordan. While Iran claims it inflicted heavy damage under "Operation Punishment of the Aggressor," Jordan says its air defenses intercepted eight missiles and U.S. officials insist nearly all the projectiles were shot down. With both sides issuing fresh warnings and the Strait of Hormuz once again at the center of tensions, fears of a wider regional conflict continue to grow.
