Thousands of young transit riders took the bus for free this summer and families want to see that extended. CTV's Josh Marano speaks with resident Jessie McWatty, who says the free program made a huge difference because she relies on transit to take her niece and nephew out. City councillor Shawn Menard says more youth took advantage of the program than expected. Starting August 31, riders aged 11 to 18 will only ride free after 5 p.m. on weekdays and all day on weekends.
