Russia has issued a strong warning after several European Union countries revived a proposal to transfer nearly €200 billion in frozen Russian sovereign assets to Ukraine. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said the move would be illegal and vowed Moscow would challenge it in court. Belgium has previously opposed the plan over legal concerns, while Poland, Sweden, Spain and the Netherlands are pushing Brussels to find a way to use the frozen funds for Ukraine.
