Police say twelve people have now been arrested over the deadly crash near Middlesbrough that left seven people dead, including two police officers.
PC Tom Clough and PC Matthew Blades were killed when they were hit by a car travelling the wrong way down the A66 in the early hours of Saturday morning. All five of the young men in that vehicle died.
Now, nine men and three women have been arrested across Teesside in connection with the crash, on suspicion of a number of offences.
