Iran has rejected the UAE’s claim that Tehran fired a ballistic missile toward the Emirates, calling the accusation baseless and warning against actions that could undermine regional trust. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei also accused the United States and Israel of continued efforts to destabilize the region and pointed to what Tehran describes as a history of false-flag operations. The UAE said its air defenses detected two missiles launched from Iran, with no damage reported. Hours later, Abu Dhabi suspended trade, commercial exchanges and financial transactions with Tehran, deepening tensions between the two regional neighbours.
