The trial of Duane "Keffe D" Davis has opened in Las Vegas, nearly 30 years after rapper Tupac Shakur was killed in a drive-by shooting.
Prosecutors allege Davis orchestrated the 1996 ambush and supplied the weapon, building their case around his own admissions in a 2008 interview, a documentary and his memoir. Davis' defence argues investigators failed to verify his claims or explore alternative theories.
The trial, the first since Shakur's unsolved killing, is expected to last around a month.
