Pilot-In-Command of Phuket-Delhi Flight Fails 2nd Dope Test, 'Smoked Marijuana'

Scrutiny surrounding the Air India Phuket-Delhi flight incident has intensified after fresh reports emerged about the pilot and the events surrounding the aircraft’s sudden 300-foot altitude loss.

Air India flight AI2379 was travelling from Phuket, Thailand, to New Delhi on August 4, carrying 137 passengers, including three infants, along with eight crew members. During the cruise phase, the aircraft suddenly lost around 300 feet of altitude, creating a negative-G effect that reportedly threw unrestrained passengers and crew members from their seats.

At least 20 passengers and four crew members were reportedly injured, with two crew members suffering serious spinal injuries. The aircraft was eventually stabilized by the co-pilot and landed safely in Delhi.
