'You Cannot Cut Off Northeast Like This': Boxer Lovlina Borgohain On CWG Restaurant Map Controversy

In an exclusive interaction, Indian boxer and Olympic medallist Lovlina Borgohain spoke about her silver medal win at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and her preparations for the upcoming Asian Games. She expressed pride in the Indian boxing contingent's historic medal haul and highlighted her determination to convert her silver into a gold medal in future competitions. Lovlina also addressed the exclusion of several sports disciplines from the Games, stating that it hurts both athletes and India's overall medal tally. Additionally, she opened up about confronting the management of an Indian restaurant in Glasgow after noticing an incomplete map of India displayed on napkins and on the premises, which omitted the North East and parts of Kashmir. She revealed that the restaurant owner apologized and promised to correct the map.
