Spain's Ceuta Border Flooded By Over 50,000 Migrants | Europe Migration Crisis | Ceuta Border Crisis

Spain is facing one of the largest migration surges in its recent history after more than 50,000 migrants crossed into the Spanish enclave of Ceuta from Morocco over just two days. The unprecedented influx has triggered a humanitarian, security, and border management crisis along the European Union's only land border with Africa.

Spanish authorities said 57 bodies have been recovered on the Spanish side of the border, with officials warning that additional casualties may have occurred on the Moroccan side. According to authorities, some migrants drowned while attempting to swim around the border, while others were crushed trying to climb the breakwater supporting the border fence.

In response, Spain deployed police and military personnel to escort migrants toward the El Tarajal border crossing. Officials estimate that 48,300 migrants had voluntarily returned to Morocco by Friday evening, while authorities continued efforts to restore order and manage the remaining arrivals.
