Terror Attack In J&K's Anantnag | Policeman Killed After Terrorists Open Fire in Anantnag | N18V

A policeman succumbed to his injuries after suspected terrorists opened fire on a police party in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Wednesday.

The firing took place at around 12.30 pm at Lal Chowk in Anantnag town, where a police party was deployed on duty.
The deceased head constable was identified as Aashiq Hussain, a resident of Beerwah in Budgam district.

He was rushed to the Government Medical College (GMC) Hospital in Anantnag, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Following the attack, security forces cordoned off the area and launched a massive search operation to trace the assailants.
