South Air is the newest addition to Pakistan’s private aviation industry and officially commenced operations on 16 July, operating modern ATR 72 turboprop aircraft. What makes South Air unique is its vision to connect Pakistan’s smaller and underserved airports with major cities such as Karachi, Islamabad, and Lahore—something no other airline in the country currently offers.
South Air’s growing network includes destinations like Gwadar, Panjgur, Turbat, Bahawalpur, and Sukkur, while flights to Gilgit and Chitral are expected to begin soon.
In this vlog, I had the exciting opportunity to travel on South Air’s inaugural flight from Karachi to Islamabad via Bahawalpur. From the moment we boarded the aircraft, the experience was impressive. The comfort of the ATR 72, excellent inflight services, and the warmth, professionalism, and hospitality of the Lithuanian cabin crew made this journey truly memorable.
The first leg from Karachi to Bahawalpur and the onward flight to Islamabad were both enjoyable and offered a fresh perspective on regional air travel in Pakistan.
Considering the ticket price of only PKR 14,218, the experience was exceptional and worth every penny.
Join me as I review Pakistan’s newest airline and share my complete experience onboard South Air’s inaugural flight.
