The UK government has demanded FIFA investigate Argentina over political statements made on the pitch and surrounding the team's games over the World Cup, which appear to breach FIFA's rules.

The move comes after Argentine fans burned the British flag, thinking it was the flag of England, and Argentina accused the Royal Navy of an 'illegal incursion' into its waters.
