Massive turnout as slain Iranian leader Ayatollah Khamenei's coffin buried at country's holiest site

Thousands attended Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's funeral as mourners flooded the streets in Iran Thursday.  
Khamenei was buried at the Shrine of Imam Reza, Iran’s holiest shrine, following a week of mass funeral processions and rallies. 
Khamenei was killed in an airstrike on the first day of the war on Feb. 28, as part of a U.S.-Israeli barrage against Iran that set off a months-long conflict that has killed thousands and throttled worldwide energy supplies. 
Hostilities with the United States burst out again this week despite a truce, with Iran still controlling the vital Strait of Hormuz waterway and proclaiming its victory in having survived a months-long assault by its most powerful enemies, Israel and the U.S.
