Thousands of mourners gathered in the holy city of Qom as the funeral procession of Iran's late Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, continued on July 7.

Aerial visuals showed massive crowds waving Iranian flags and carrying posters of Khamenei through one of Shia Islam's holiest cities. The procession is part of a week-long mourning ceremony that began on July 3 following his death during the opening day of U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran.

Khamenei is scheduled to be buried on July 9 in the northeastern city of Mashhad.
