🚗💛 LAST-MINUTE GIRLS ROAD TRIP! 💛🚗
Before Hailey welcomes her sweet baby, we decided to take a spontaneous mother-daughter road trip — just the two of us! 🥹 Our original goal was simple: head to Florida to visit all of my family since I was raised there. But instead of rushing through a 24-hour drive all at once, we decided to turn it into a fun adventure with different stops along the way and make some memories before baby arrives!
And of course… our VERY FIRST stop had to be Buc-ee’s! 🦫 If you’ve never been, let me tell you — it is honestly one of the coolest places EVER. I’ve noticed they’re popping up everywhere now, and I just had to stop because Hailey hadn’t been there since around 2021.
The first time I ever experienced Buc-ee’s was years ago when the kids were still in school. We took Brendon and Hailey to Texas for their senior trip, and there was one near where we stayed. I remember walking in and thinking, “Holy cow… this place is AMAZING!” 😂 So naturally, I wanted to experience it again and share it with Haley.
We grabbed some of their famous BBQ pork sandwiches (which are SO good!) — and one of my favorite parts is that you can literally watch them make everything fresh right in front of you. Then, of course, I had to browse all the farmhouse décor because if you know me, you know I love chickens and farm-style everything around the house! 🐓🌾 I even picked up some wooden spoons and found the cutest farm-themed baby items for the baby. Since my husband is a farmer, I already know he’s going to absolutely LOVE seeing the baby in farm clothes someday. 🥹🚜
Honestly, it was the perfect little stop to stretch our legs, walk around, find some fun treasures, grab some good food, and just enjoy the beginning of our trip together. We spent about an hour there before hitting the road again!
