Append each result as a new row in a table with columns: Ticker, Close Price, Daily % Change, Vol vs Avg, Alert, Reason.
Step 2 – Apply the alert rules:
For each row in that table, set Alert = "Yes" if absolute Daily % Change over 5% OR Vol vs Avg over 2.0, otherwise set Alert = "No". Set Reason to one of: "Price move over 5% up", "Price move over 5% down", "Volume over 2x average", or "Price over 5% and volume over 2x".
Step 3 – Summarize the alerts:
From this table, take only rows where Alert = "Yes". For each alerted ticker, find the top 2–3 relevant news items, filings, or analyst notes that explain the move. Generate a concise report titled "Daily Watchlist Monitor – [Today’s Date]" that includes a small table of alerted tickers with Daily % Change and Vol vs Avg, plus 2–3 bullet points under each ticker explaining what happened, with links to the main sources.
Step 4 – Send a Slack notification [OR USE YOUR EMAIL INSTEAD]:
Post this report as a single message into my Slack channel [SLACK_CHANNEL_NAME] with channel id [SLACK_CHANNEL_ID]. Format it so the table and explanations are readable in Slack (plain text or Markdown is fine).
