Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has issued one of its strongest warnings yet, declaring that any renewed U.S. or Israeli strikes could push the conflict “beyond the region” and trigger retaliation in places “you do not imagine.” The statement came shortly after Donald Trump reportedly stepped back from launching new attacks on Iran, fuelling speculation that Tehran believes Washington is hesitating over the risks of a wider war. The IRGC also mocked the U.S. military as one of the “most expensive armies in the world” while insisting Iran has not yet used its full military capabilities. The rhetoric has intensified fears that any future confrontation could involve longer-range missile operations, attacks on global interests or escalation far outside the Middle East theatre.
