Meghan Markle's brand isn't actually about Jam, or Honey, or even her gardens. No. It's about the Meg- and for a whopping $250 + Shipping, you can get your own souvenir of HER faux-lifestyle. Not her recipes or kitchen or flowers or produce or, really, anything featured in the ad- but by golly, it's got her name on it. I'll be damned. Who wouldn't want to buy it?
Today we're breaking down AS eVER's FOURTH REBRAND and everything wrong with it. From a lack of brand identity to the complete ineptitude of marketing, Meg's self obsession to showcase herself has led her brand down a path of ruin. The customer is an afterthought- nary a clue in sight as to whom she is selling these products- instead of the consumer being the hero of the as Ever story, they're an afterthought only there to buy as a token of support to the Meg. Increasingly, she alienates both potential consumer bases- those who can afford her goods want nothing to do with her tacky vibes & unpopularity, while those who blindly support the Meg can't afford to consistently buy.
To make matters worse, Meghan simply lacks the social capital to actually land the influencer marketing approach she's using. Plus, as Ever simply isn't getting any traction online, amongst foodies or chefs, or influencers. This video exposes exactly why.
