Over 200 new homes approved for growing Stepaside community

Plans for over 200 new homes in a growing south Dublin community have been granted permission.The Ironborn large residential development planned for Stepaside was approved by Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council. The plans are for 209 housing units, including 18 three-bedroom, three-storey apartments and 191 duplex/own-door apartments.The 191 apartments will be made up of 60 one-bedroom, 77 two-bedroom and 54 three-bedroom units. They will be within 11 blocks ranging from three to four stories.The development is within Sector 3 of the Aikens Village. It's located close to the Belmont estate and public transport links including the Luas green line.Additional information was requested on the application, addressing concerns surrounding foul sewage, and details relating to the open space, and addressing overlooking concerns with nearby property.
