Iran Positions War Machines Near Israel's Border, Tehran's Long-Awaited Revenge Plan Unfolding?
Hezbollah has spent roughly three months rebuilding military capabilities damaged in previous fighting and is preparing for the possibility of another confrontation with Israel, according to Lebanese security sources cited by Reuters. The reported effort includes acquiring explosives, producing attack drones and restoring command-and-control systems. Iran has reportedly provided tens of millions of dollars to support the rebuilding. The sources caution that Hezbollah has not returned to its previous military strength. Instead, the picture is of a group attempting to replace weapons, reorganise units and repair the communications and command infrastructure needed for another major conflict. For Israel, sustained rearmament across the Lebanese border would carry obvious security implications. And for Tehran, the reported financing suggests continued support for Hezbollah despite the losses and pressure both have faced during the wider regional confrontation.
