'Zelensky Insults Trump More Than Iran': Russia's Savage Take On U.S-Ukraine Clash As Rift Deepens

Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has launched a sharp attack on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, claiming his defiance of US President Donald Trump is damaging Washington’s interests more than Iran, Cuba and Venezuela combined. In a Telegram post, Medvedev accused Zelensky of rejecting US-backed peace proposals, working to turn European leaders against Trump and continuing attacks on Russian oil refineries despite Washington’s objections. He also alleged that Zelensky had misused American taxpayer money under both the Biden and Trump administrations and accused Kyiv of links to Mexican drug cartels. These allegations have not been independently established. The remarks come amid growing tensions between Trump and Zelensky over Ukraine’s military strategy, US support and the impact of attacks on Russian energy infrastructure. Meanwhile, Trump has temporarily eased certain sanctions on Russian fuel exports as part of an arrangement with Moscow to help address energy supply pressures, adding another layer to the shifting dynamics between Washington, Kyiv and Moscow.
