‘Got It For ZERO Dollars’: Trump's New Greenland Claim Despite Denmark 'Sovereignty' Pushback

Donald Trump has boasted that the United States “got” both Greenland and Venezuela for effectively nothing, describing the arrangements as among the greatest real-estate deals in history.

Speaking at a campaign rally, Trump praised Denmark over a September agreement expanding U.S. military access and defence rights in Greenland, while comparing it with Washington’s Venezuela arrangement. Greenland, however, remains part of the Kingdom of Denmark, with the agreement recognising Danish sovereignty and Greenlanders’ right to self-determination.
