Houthis Bombard 'SAUDI BASE'; Wipe Out 70+ 'MBS Troops' In Ballistic Storm; Riyadh Attacked Again
Yemen is witnessing a sharp escalation in fighting as Houthi rebels intensify attacks on government forces and expand threats towards Saudi Arabia. A Houthi missile strike in Shabwa province reportedly killed 73 Yemeni soldiers, injured more than 200 and left 14 people missing, according to local reports. The attack involved three ballistic missiles that struck security forces during a training exercise. Shabwa is strategically important because it overlooks the Gulf of Aden and hosts the Balhaf liquefied natural gas facility. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia's air defences intercepted a Houthi drone and a ballistic missile targeting the Riyadh region, according to the Saudi-led coalition. Yemen's internationally recognised government has stepped up its counteroffensive under Operation Dawn of Yemen, claiming that its forces carried out 744 strikes in 24 hours, neutralising around 200 Houthi fighters and destroying or damaging 90 military vehicles and pieces of equipment.
