Russia Unleashes World's FASTEST Supersonic Bomber; Mighty Tu-160 Has NO Match In America’s Arsenal

Russia is rebuilding and modernising its Tu-160 “White Swan,” a supersonic strategic missile carrier capable of exceeding Mach 2 and carrying up to 12 long-range cruise missiles. Tupolev chief executive Yury Abrosimov says the Tu-160 remains the leading supersonic aircraft in its class, an assessment made by the company responsible for producing it. The aircraft uses two internal rotary launchers capable of carrying Kh-55 or Kh-101/102-family cruise missiles, allowing long-range strikes without necessarily entering heavily defended airspace. Russia is also producing the modernised Tu-160M, which Tupolev says has roughly 80% of its systems and equipment upgraded, including avionics, navigation, weapons controls and engines. Moscow restarted production after the original Soviet-era manufacturing network had largely disappeared. Unlike America’s stealth-focused B-2, the Tu-160 emphasises speed, range and missile payload, with Russia betting that the decades-old design can remain central to its long-range aviation forces.
