Delhi Police has deployed around 6,000 police and paramilitary personnel ahead of the Cockroach Janta Party’s (CJP) proposed Tiranga march at Connaught Place on Friday. The party has called on supporters to gather at Central Park at 5 pm, while the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has also urged its workers and the public to participate. Authorities have imposed prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) in Connaught Place and surrounding areas. Central Park will remain closed on October 16 and 17, and 30–35 additional surveillance cameras have been installed. Police may permit a group of 11 people to sing the national anthem while holding the national flag at a suitable location. Traffic disruptions are expected from 3 pm, with commuters advised to use public transport.
