Israeli President Isaac Herzog reportedly used an Azerbaijan Airlines commercial flight to travel from Tel Aviv to Baku, passing through Turkish airspace despite Turkey’s ban on Israeli government aircraft. Flight-tracking data and footage from his arrival suggest Herzog travelled aboard an AZAL Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner named “Shusha.”
Turkey has barred Israeli government aircraft from its airspace, forcing previous Israeli presidential trips to take longer alternative routes. However, civilian passenger flights remain permitted to cross Turkish skies, creating a potential workaround for Herzog’s journey.
