Russia’s Defence Ministry says Russian forces launched a massive overnight strike against communications and energy facilities in Kyiv and the Kyiv and Kharkiv regions. The ministry claims the operation involved high-precision ground-based weapons and long-range attack drones targeting infrastructure used by Ukraine’s armed forces and defence industry. Moscow also reported strikes on production buildings at the KSM Protek plant near Kyiv and a substation in the Vyshhorod area. The full extent of the damage remains unclear.
