Two commercial vessels have been struck off Bulgaria's Black Sea coast, with one sinking, according to Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev.
The Malta-flagged Chelsea 3 was reportedly hit by three aerial drones, but all 15 crew members were rescued. A second vessel was struck shortly afterwards and sank, with one crew member confirmed rescued.
Bulgaria has announced plans to summon the Russian ambassador and raise the incidents with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen condemned the attacks, while Ukraine accused Russia of threatening maritime security.
Bulgarian authorities say they do not yet have conclusive evidence identifying those responsible.
The incidents follow a series of attacks on commercial shipping in the Black Sea, raising concerns over maritime safety near NATO territory.
