'U.S. Occupier Kicked Out': Celebrations In Arab State After American Troops 'FLEE' Iran Backyard

Celebrations erupted across Baghdad after the United States formally withdrew its forces from Iraq, bringing an end to more than two decades of U.S. military presence in the country. Crowds waved Iraqi flags, set off fireworks and chanted slogans, while supporters of the Popular Mobilization Forces held events featuring Hezbollah flags, posters of former militia leaders and replicas of drones used in attacks on U.S. forces. The withdrawal marks the end of the U.S.-led Operation Inherent Resolve mission in Iraq and shifts primary responsibility for the country’s security to Iraqi forces. The departure also closes a major chapter that began with the 2003 U.S.-led invasion and continued with the return of American troops in 2014 to fight Islamic State.
