Russia has claimed a major air-defence success, saying a Pantsir-S crew intercepted three Ukrainian Flamingo cruise missiles approaching the Moscow region during the September 20 attack. The Russian Defence Ministry identified the crew by the call sign “Barnaul” and said it destroyed all three missiles. Moscow also claimed 1,600 aerial targets were shot down that night.
