Australia and the U.S. are investigating after a shipment of unserviceable F-35 components bound for America was mistakenly diverted to Hong Kong and later went missing.

Australian Defence Minister Richard Marles said the parts were not considered sensitive, but the incident has raised fresh concerns about vulnerabilities in the F-35’s global supply chain and the risk of advanced military technology ending up in China’s reach.
