Step Inside Vietnam Airlines A350 Business Class: Hanoi to New Delhi

No jargon, no drama, no ads. Just the complete Vietnam Airlines Business Class experience from Hanoi Noi Bai International Airport to Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi aboard the Airbus A350.

In this video, I’m taking you through the entire journey: starting in downtown Hanoi, Business Class check-in, the Vietnam Airlines Lotus Business Class Lounge, its food, showers and private Sleep Boxes, followed by the full A350 cabin and seat experience, onboard dining, lie-flat bed and Vietnamese hospitality. After landing in India, the journey continues with a stay at the iconic ITC Maurya in New Delhi.

The journey starts with Vietnam Airlines’ dedicated Business Class check-in at Hanoi Noi Bai International Airport before heading to the Lotus Business Class Lounge in Terminal 2. The lounge is modern, spacious and beautifully designed, with a large buffet of Vietnamese and international dishes, an open bar and bistro, comfortable seating, but doesn't have runway views. I also check out the lounge’s shower facilities before spending around three hours in one of its private Sleep Boxes — a quiet, dark and cool space that was especially useful during a long layover.

Then it’s time to board the Vietnam Airlines Airbus A350 for the approximately 5.5-hour flight from Hanoi to New Delhi. This was my first time flying Vietnam Airlines, and my return Business Class ticket cost around US$800 or $500 for a oneway, which was exceptional value for what you get The A350 Business Class cabin is arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration, giving every passenger direct aisle access, with fully flat seats, plenty of privacy and Vietnam Airlines’ distinctive modern cabin design. I take you through the seat, amenity kit whch is branded by "Aspinal of London" and menus before departure.

Service throughout the flight was warm and friendly, beginning with welcome refreshments and a face towel before the crew introduced the seat and its features. Dinner included fresh Vietnamese spring rolls, shrimp, salad and a French-style roasted chicken with a rich sauce, all presented beautifully. The dinner was general tasty and healthy but I wouldn't say it was high-end. However, for what I paid it was definitely great value! After dinner, I converted the seat into a fully lie-flat bed, added a few pillows and their comfy blanket and got some rest and woke up as we approached India.

After arriving at Indira Gandhi International Airport, the final part of the journey takes me into New Delhi for a stay at ITC Maurya. I’ll show you around the hotel, its distinctive Indian design and my room, bringing this complete Hanoi-to-Delhi Vietnam Airlines Business Class journey to an end.
