Iran's New Air Defence Grounds America's Advanced Aerial Fleet? 'U.S. Brings Back Ageing Weapon...'

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claims it intercepted and destroyed another U.S. MQ-1 drone over the strategic Strait of Hormuz using what it described as a new advanced aerospace air defence system. The IRGC also claimed that heavy losses of MQ-9 Reaper drones have forced Washington to bring the retired MQ-1 Predator back into service. Known as the “Beast of Kandahar,” the MQ-1 Predator was retired by the U.S. Air Force in 2018 and replaced by the more capable MQ-9 Reaper.
