'Don't Enter Saudi Cities...': Houthi Fighters To Invade MBS Territory? U.S. Declares Huge Alert
The United States has imposed new travel restrictions on government employees inside Saudi Arabia as Houthi missile and drone attacks reach increasingly deep into the kingdom. American personnel must now obtain special authorisation for official or personal travel to Taif and Yanbu, while U.S. citizens have been warned to avoid windows, remain clear of fallen debris and prepare for possible airspace closures. Yanbu is a critical Saudi oil-storage and export centre, while Taif recently suffered casualties from debris following an intercepted Houthi drone attack. The restrictions create an uncomfortable contrast with Donald Trump’s claim that Washington remains in constant communication with Ansar Allah and that the movement has agreed not to fight the United States. America may have reduced the direct threat to its forces and ships, but its personnel remain exposed to the consequences of an expanding war across the territory of Washington’s principal Gulf ally.
