On my second day in the Philippines, I finally got the chance to do what I've been looking forward to most — learn how to cook authentic Filipino food from a Filipina chef! 🇵🇭 After teaching myself dishes like chicken adobo, bistek Tagalog and chicken inasal back home in America, Chef Kate joined me in my Manila apartment to teach me homemade Filipino spaghetti from scratch, complete with her homemade Filipino hot dogs, ground beef, banana ketchup, condensed milk, cream and cheese. Then my brother Kyle came over and we sat down together to try the spaghetti, Chef Kate's fried chicken and homemade chili garlic sauce. This trip isn't just about eating Filipino food — I want to learn how to actually cook it so I can take these recipes home and share them with my wife and kids. Huge thank you to Chef Kate and Graciel for making this experience happen! 🇵🇭❤️
