'Won't Abandon Iran': China Fires Back At U.S. Sanctions Threat; Xi Unleashes Fury At Trump

China has strongly rejected the latest US sanctions campaign against Iran, saying Beijing’s trade cooperation with Tehran follows international law and cannot be disrupted by unilateral American pressure. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian vowed to protect China’s legitimate interests after Washington announced sanctions targeting around 60 individuals, entities and vessels. China has also urged Iran and the US to return to diplomacy under the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, warning that renewed fighting could spread instability towards Yemen and the Red Sea.
