Saudi Arabia is reportedly running low on missile interceptors amid escalating tensions with Yemen-based Houthi forces, according to regional officials cited by The Associated Press. Riyadh has reportedly sought air-defense assistance from France, Britain, Pakistan and Egypt, but has not requested help from the United States, which is itself facing heavy demands on its missile-defense stockpiles amid the Iran war. The crisis intensified after Saudi Arabia accused the Houthis of targeting Mecca with a drone — a claim the Houthis denied. The group also claimed to have shot down a Saudi F-15 over Marib.
