Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has warned that any European attack on Russia would result in what he described as a “completely different” and “very short” war. Speaking in Yekaterinburg, Lavrov reiterated Moscow's claim that it has no intention of attacking Europe. His remarks come amid heightened debate over European defence preparations and possible troop deployments to Ukraine. Russian President Vladimir Putin has also warned that European forces entering Ukraine would mean war with Russia.
