ON CAM: America’s MOST ADVANCED F-15 Destroyed By Houthi Missile? 'Tail Number Reveals...'

A four-digit number visible on wreckage displayed by Yemen’s Houthis appears to identify the aircraft as Royal Saudi Air Force F-15SA number 5529. Aviation databases link that registration to an individual aircraft carrying manufacturer serial number 1322/SA051. The same jet was photographed intact at Saudi Arabia’s World Defense Show on February 12, 2026—approximately seven months before its apparent remains were recorded in Marib. The matching registration, Saudi flag and shape of the tail section considerably strengthen the identification. The Houthis claim a domestically manufactured surface-to-air missile brought down the fighter during Saudi operations over Marib. That cause has not been independently verified. The F-15SA is Saudi Arabia’s most advanced operational F-15 variant and is frequently valued at more than $110 million per aircraft. Riyadh has not confirmed the loss or disclosed the fate of its possible two-person crew.
