The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps says it shot down an American MQ-1 drone west of the Strait of Hormuz using a previously undisclosed advanced air defence system. Iranian media claims the interception was carried out by the IRGC Aerospace Force under the country’s integrated air defence network.
