After a disappointing 10K race, it was time to see how I’d respond.
We’re back at Battersea for a rough session, including 8K of work over 10 seconds per K faster than my target marathon pace. This time, the goal was simple: execute the session properly, stay disciplined and get some confidence back.
Then came the London Big Half.
This wasn’t about racing. We use the half marathon as a training exercise to see if I can hold new marathon pace (3:54) over longer distances.
With 14 weeks to go until Valencia, there’s still plenty of work ahead, but we’re moving in the right direction. The pursuit of taking my marathon PB from 2:57 to sub-2:45 continues.
